- If no wall space is available for fringes side by side for single doors or on the right side of the door for double doors, the nearest adjacent wall must be used.

How to identify a safe place for your ADA door panels
To be used safely, the touch panels must be installed in a safe place through the door of this room. Guests in the room should stay away from swinging doors while searching for the rooms they want to find.
According to official ADA Signs guidelines, a size of 18 inches (or 455 millimeters) by 18 inches minimum is used. The measurements are made from the swing of the door in the center of the sensory note of the sign.
The rules suggest that the use of the 45-degree angle of the open door to determine proper clearance is permitted. The minimum 18-inch measurement from the face of the sign and to the right of the door swing should provide the space required for secure mounting.
You can choose to leave more space if you determine that the area is experiencing heavy pedestrian traffic. You will have to keep the door close to clearly indicating that it is intended to distinguish this room. But as long as you remember to measure the smallest 18-inch center of the tactile text, your door signature adheres to ADA Signs standards.
