As we strangely feel the time crunch in our lives we tend to get dependent more and more on tools & equipment. Be it the automobiles or the machines that cook our food and preserve them, our lives are increasingly getting dependent on such machines. As a natural consequence to the above our lives get paralyzed the moment these stops catering to our needs. Be it the refrigerator or the air conditioner or the oven, the moment they stop functioning so does our lives too.
So here’s what we do the moment our appliances get faulty,
- If we know anything about engineering then this is the time that we tend to execute our skills. Whatever little we know of the mechanics we tend to execute all on the appliance. If we repair them, then what a success but if not then that particular appliance cannot be used anymore.
- We rush the appliance to the nearest repair station, irrespective of the fact whether they are reliable or not.
- If our luck is good our appliances will be repaired just the way we want them to be but if it’s otherwise then god forbid what’ going to happen.
- We contact the service station and immediately and have the people there repair our appliance.
But because both or time and money are limited we often resort to the concept of use and throw notion. Because sometimes the money required repairing them stands tantamount to what a new refrigerator will cost. This point of view is quite relevant according to me. But what about those who want their appliances repaired? How do they go about repairing the appliances?
Following the few points to keep in mind before choosing the appliance service centers
- Proximity to your place of residence – of course the service station must be close to your place.
- Efficient Delivery of service – Before approaching a service station make sure you know about how they go about delivering their services. Because if they take a long time to fix a minor problem then things might just not work for you and you may opt for a better service provider.
- No extra charge – the delivery people must not charge an extra penny from you. Also if you call them at weekends or at off times and they charge you extra for that, you must make sure that you do not call them again. Because that is not how things are supposed to work.
