Floors: Tips for buying

It is not a teleshopping worry!

Just a bit of advice for when you will decide on the floor of your kitchen / living room / bathroom / room / small room / closet / basement / pavement etc..

The best material that now is definitely the trade offers PORCELAIN!

cottoThe photo  is a material that needs  of many treatments, very nice, very country, very hot at the sight, very “knows of my house,” but then you will end after a few years with the stain the dog pees or drops of fried. Because if you want to keep it for sure you do all the waterproofing treatment at least once every two years or so, which costs nothing short of forty euro per square meter. And out every year!

I love the baked! I knows of rustic! I like the rustic, however, that two bubbles! At my parents’ house, there is, what rusticissimo! Not smooth and little attention. The rag, do not give it, does not slip, (the rag in Florence is not the type but not the Vileda mop mop). The mop from him, but after a month you have to buy back because everything is balding. An effort to clean it!

Here’s an example:

What then exists of several sizes and colors.

Longer treated and less treated, then smoother and less smooth.

The parquet is beautiful, it is warm but delicate!

Now even in the kitchen and in the bathroom you can put it, because more and thanks to various treatments waterproofing becomes more resistant. But as someone says:

“The flooring is beautiful but gets scratched!”

It ‘s always no wood?

And if you want to put in the bathroom, every year touches you a nice rejuvenation treatment / waterproofing otherwise it becomes a sponge, especially if your husband / partner / boyfriend / dog flooded every time you take a shower!

The porcelain.

What can I say, porcelain is exceeded, overtaken by the stoneware!

The stoneware is the latest generation material … resistant to years, the children, the dogs, the boyfriends / partners / husbands distracted!

And ‘resistant chairs moved, fruit juices, to pisciatine.

And there’s a thousand sizes, colors, shapes, different styles!

We, we chose the porcelain wood effect, precisely to obviate the desire of the parquet. The feeling is the same! Looks like wood, then heat, just do not touch it with bare feet, because it is cold and not calduccino like wood.

gres2Usually recommend to buy it rectified.

What does that mean? It means that is cut well, well, at the corner 90. So that when the tiler (if you have a renovation, look in your metric, it is probably your builder that makes the installation – technical term for saying, that spits on the tile floor and sticks to the rough -) the puts verbatim, close to one another to give the effect flooring.

Of every color and features is the stoneware! Square tiles, big, huge and small, or to recreate the long slab of wood.

As for the price: on any material that you choose there will be expensive stoneware and stoneware cheap, the expensive parquet and wooden floors economic, terracotta expensive and the economic cooked and so on. And above all, push to get the best offer!

For example: we went to a company, with whom we have given our whole floor, interior / exterior and bathroom (the bathroom because he also wants the tiles vertically not?, Or a painting of a certain type …)

Then, we also granted the health, interior doors, fireplace and perhaps even the fixtures, but that’s another story!

And this holy girl (will be my age if not less!) When we chose – PORCELAIN WOOD EFFECT, COLOUR-BIRCH tried to lower the price in every way. At the end we can buy it for 35 euro per square meter, much less all the other from when we were gone.

So, remember to always ask the OFFER! Because they can do it, especially the big companies!

For the rest, my advice is:

if you have a small house, as we do, put a single floor! It will be easier to have the offer and if it is a small house on a plane and creates continuity between rooms.

We we put it everywhere: bedrooms and bathroom included!

In the bathroom we dared with blue on the walls, always stoneware, standard format. (€ 15 per square meter)

For the outside, we finally decided to cooked  Farmyard and sidewalk that runs through the house, because by that effect of rustic! I will never do the treatment, I leave it rustic! It means that where it rains above will be more rustic.

In short, these are my tips for choosing the flooring. I hope you will remain useful!
